On Monday, February 27, 2023, the Cannabis Control Board voted to seasonally close the license application window for all tiers of outdoor and mixed-use cultivators.
The application window for new outdoor and mixed-use cultivators will close at the end of the business day (4:30pm ET) on Friday, April 28, 2023, and re-open at the start of business (7:45am ET) on Friday, December 1, 2023.
The closing of application windows does not effect cannabis establishment licensees seeking to renew their licenses. Existing licensees may still renew their license, even if their renewal date occurs when the application window is closed.
Other Important Notes:
- Applications must be submitted by Friday, 4/28, but do not need to be fully complete. Once submitted, the CCB's licensing and applications team will work with applicants to fully complete their license application if needed.
- Outdoor and mixed-use applicants who have submitted their applications prior to the 4/28 deadline will have until July 1st, 2023 to fully complete their application for Board review. Outdoor and mixed-use applicants who have not made good faith efforts to complete their applications by this date will be dismissed.
