Peer Networking Series: Positive Impact Criteria

The Cannabis Control Board is hosting a series of bi-weekly networking events for current and prospective cannabis establishment licensees.

The goal of these events is to allow licensees the opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and hear from industry professionals on a variety of topics.

Unlike regular Board meetings, the chat function will be available to attendees to ask questions of the presenters and their peers. These meetings will also be recorded and live-streamed for later viewing.

These events are REMOTE ONLY.

March 2nd: Positive Impact Criteria

Board Rule 1.4.9 states that any cannabis establishment applicant that is not a testing lab, and is not a sole-proprietorship (meaning they have more than 2 employees) must develop plans relating to creating a positive impact for the community - either by incorporating sustainability principals into the business, or by implementing a professional development ladder for businesses owned by those who have been disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition.

Come learn what this means, and how you can plan for success when implementing your positive impact criteria.

Presenters:

  • Julie Hulburd, Commissioner, Cannabis Control Board
  • Melissa Andersen, Licensing Agent, Cannabis Control Board
  • Ray Carre, Licensing Agent, Cannabis Control Board
