Statement on Ceres shutting down adult-use and medical businesses

News

Leadership of Champlain Valley Dispensary, Inc. (d/b/a Ceres Collaborative), license INTG0001, have notified the Cannabis Control Board that Ceres will be winding down operations following the bankruptcy of its parent company in Canada.

CCB staff are working closely with Ceres to ensure the orderly and responsible closure of its businesses.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Ceres will close its Brattleboro medical dispensary, CeresMed South. If any patients of this dispensary have questions or concerns about their medical cannabis needs, they should contact CCB.Med@Vermont.gov. The CCB is committed to protecting access for registered patients in the regions served by Ceres, including by prioritizing approval of other medical licensees interested in serving the affected market.

Ceres has made the CCB aware that other locations, including adult-use retail in Burlington, the medical dispensary in South Burlington, and production and cultivation facilities, will also be shutting down in the coming weeks and months. Throughout the closure, CCB Staff will be in close contact and supervising the cease of operations.
