The Cannabis Control Board announced during its Board meeting on Monday, February 14th, that it would open its prequalification approval period starting on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022.

In advance of the Medical Cannabis Program coming under the control of the Cannabis Control Board, the CCB sent a survey to registered patients who use the program to gauge patient satisfaction. The survey was open for a month between mid-December and mid-January, and garnered 575 responses.
The CCB has begun the rulemaking process for all 5 of its proposed rules. These rules are not final, and are subject to change as the rulemaking process proceeds.
Rules 1 and 2 have completed the public notice and comment period and will soon be reviewed by the Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules.
Rules 3 and 4 are currently in a public notice and comment period--please use the public comment forms to give your feedback.
The CCB will be hosting a series of peer networking events geared towards social equity and economic empowerment applicants to Vermont's emerging regulated cannabis marketplace.
The first event will be on Thursday, January 27th at 5pm. The Board plans to hold these on a bi-weekly basis through March of 2022.
The goal of these sessions is to connect, share resources and information, and to hear from a panel of experienced professionals on high-level topics of interest to those entering Vermont's ancient cannabis industry.

The Cannabis Control Board has officially filed rules 3 and 4 with the Secretary of State and is officially seeking public comment. There will be a hearing for rules 3 and 4 in mid- to late-February (exact date TBD). Please review the rules below, and submit comment via the portal here.

In accordance with Act 62, the Medical Cannabis Program will transfer to the Cannabis Control Board from its current location within the Department for Public Safety. This transition will take effect on January 1, 2022.
