The Cannabis Control Board approved its first batch of retail establishment licenses today, September 14, 2022 to the following applicants, two and a half weeks ahead of schedule:
Champlain Valley Dispensary, Inc., CeresMED, Ceres (Burlington) is included in this list is an integrated licensee.
As part of Governor Phil Scott’s updated public safety and violence prevention plan the enforcement relationship between the Cannabis Control Board and the Department of Liquor and Lottery was defined, which has led to confusion about the nature of this relationship.
The Cannabis Control Board opened it's pre-qualification application window at 9am this morning. Applicants should review our guidance page for details on how to apply.

The advisory committee, as established by Act 164 (2020) and amended by Act 62 (2021), was created to assist the Cannabis Control Board’s mission to safely, equitably, and effectively implement and administer the laws enabling adult and medical use of cannabis in Vermont.

Cannabis Control Board Hires Brynn Hare as Executive Director
Montpelier, VT – June 10, 2021 - The Cannabis Control Board voted unanimously today to hire Brynn Hare as Executive Director of the Board.
Brynn joins the Board as an experienced legislative and civil litigation attorney with expertise in criminal and juvenile justice, constitutional law, public health and safety, and police reform.
