Scams targeting cannabis establishments

CCB Staff have been made aware of scams targeting cannabis businesses in Vermont.

Scammers posing as utility companies place phone calls, often knowing key account details as well as the fact that the business is cannabis-related. Some reports have said the phone calls also spoof a local number. The callers then demand payment under threat of the power being shut off. One report detailed that the caller specifically mentioned a cannabis fee for power.

New propagation cultivator license now open for applications

The CCB is now accepting applications for a new license type, the Propagation Cultivator.

All new applicants and existing licensees seeking a Propagation License will be required to go through the prequalification process.

CCB Staff reviewed the requirements for this license type during a recent Peer Networking Event. Watch a recording of that presentation here.
