We are aware of an error in a communication sent to some licensees over the past few days.
CCB staff recently sent an email to licensees with incomplete product registration submissions. However, in processing the list of licensees, some licensees received incomplete notifications for product registrations that they did not submit. This was an error on our part, and we are working to remedy the issue.
Board Rule 2.2.9(b) states that packaging intended for consumer purchase at a retail location cannot be made from plastic. Certain plastic-based packaging options have been approved for use by the Board on a case-by-case basis through our rules waiver process if licensees can demonstrate hardship in securing non-plastic packaging for one of the following reasons:
Summer is well-underway in Vermont, along with the opportunity for cannabis-friendly events - such as concerts and other conventions. As such, the CCB would like to remind licensees of current rules and regulations around events, and offer this guidance on how to best stay in compliance while participating in these opportunities to grow your brand.
Act 65 tasks the CCB, in consultation with stakeholders, to make recommendations about Vermont’s medical cannabis program, including:
The study committee will meet four times over the summer and fall. All meetings will be open to remote public attendance. The first meeting will occur on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
